Spend Your Summer Growing in Faith, Mission, and Cross-Cultural Experience
What if your summer could be more than a break from routine?
What if it became a season of spiritual growth, biblical discovery, and meaningful cross-cultural ministry?
This June, Gateway Training Center invites students and young adults to take part in the Summer Internship Program (SIP) 2026 — a one-month immersive experience in Greece designed to equip believers for mission through biblical learning, hands-on outreach, and authentic community life.
Whether you are exploring missions, seeking direction for your future, or simply desiring to grow deeper in your faith, SIP offers an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone and experience God’s work in a unique and transformative way.
What Is the SIP Program?
The Summer Internship Program (SIP) is Gateway Training Center’s summer cross-cultural ministry experience for college students and young adults.
Hosted in Greece, SIP combines:
Biblical teaching
Cultural immersion
Outreach opportunities
Discipleship and mentorship
Community living
Participants spend one month learning what it means to share the Gospel across cultures while growing spiritually and relationally alongside believers from different backgrounds.
SIP is not simply a tour of biblical sites. It is intentional preparation for ministry and mission.
Why Greece?
Greece is a powerful setting for understanding the spread of Christianity and the heart of cross-cultural mission.
It was in cities like Corinth, Philippi, Athens, and Thessaloniki that Paul the Apostle preached the Gospel, planted churches, and engaged diverse cultures with truth and compassion.
Walking through these places gives participants a deeper understanding of Scripture and a clearer picture of how the early church navigated culture, opposition, and mission. Greece becomes more than a destination — it becomes a living classroom.
What Participants Will Experience
Throughout the program, participants will engage in a variety of experiences designed to encourage both spiritual and practical growth.
Biblical Learning in Context
Studying Scripture in the places where biblical events occurred brings the Bible to life in a fresh and meaningful way. Participants gain insight into the historical and cultural context of the New Testament while exploring key locations connected to Paul’s missionary journeys.
Cross-Cultural Ministry Exposure
Participants will have opportunities to engage with people from different cultural backgrounds and observe how ministry takes place in multicultural environments.
These experiences help students:
Develop cultural awareness
Learn to communicate with humility and respect
Understand the importance of listening and relationship-building
Grow in compassion and adaptability
Community Living

One of the most impactful aspects of SIP is the experience of living in Christian community.
Through shared meals, worship, prayer, discussions, and everyday life together, participants build meaningful relationships and learn the value of serving alongside others.
Community life becomes a place where faith is strengthened and lifelong friendships are formed.
Spiritual Growth
SIP is designed not only to inform participants, but to transform them.
Many students leave the program with:
Greater confidence in their faith
A deeper understanding of Scripture
Increased awareness of global mission
Clearer direction for future ministry or service
For some, SIP becomes the first step toward long-term involvement in missions or cross-cultural ministry.
Who Is SIP For?
The Summer Internship Program is ideal for:
College and university students
Young adults exploring missions
Individuals seeking spiritual growth
Those interested in cross-cultural ministry
Anyone wanting to experience biblical Greece in a meaningful way
No prior ministry experience is required — only a willingness to learn, serve, and grow.
Why Cross-Cultural Training Matters
In today’s world, the ability to engage different cultures with wisdom and understanding is increasingly important.
Cross-cultural ministry requires more than passion. It requires preparation.
At Gateway Training Center, participants are encouraged to:
Approach ministry with humility
Understand the importance of cultural sensitivity
Build genuine relationships
Share the Gospel faithfully and respectfully
SIP provides a foundation for believers who desire to serve effectively in diverse contexts.
