FIG Program

Walk in the Footsteps of Paul and serve a Nation!

Have you ever wondered what the Apostle Paul’s journey through Greece felt like? The places he saw, the people he encountered, and the way the Gospel transformed lives?


Join us in retracing his steps, engaging in cross-cultural outreach, and growing in faith—all in just one life-changing month!

FIG Program Focus Areas

The Fall in Greece (FIG) program at the Gateway Training Center (Athens, Greece) includes:

  • A “Footsteps of Paul” in Greece tour (Philippi to Corinth)

  • Optional week-long study of Acts and Letters too the Philippians, 1 & 2 Thessaonians and 1 & 2 Corinthians

  • 2–3 weeks of outreach in and around Athens

Preparation and Training​

Pre-Program Preparation:
Before arrival, participants will complete:

  • Three 45–60 minute live training sessions

  • Several pre-recorded video sessions

  • Orientation and planning activities

​

Post-Program Debriefing:

  • Individual and group debrief and re-entry training

  • Reflection tools for returning home well

​

Program Options

Option 1:

  • 1 week: Footsteps of Paul tour

  • 3 weeks: Outreach with local ministries

  • On-field Costs: €2,000 (US$2,350)

​

Option 2:

  • 1 week: Footsteps of Paul tour

  • 1 week: Additional museum visits + daily Bible study on relevant texts to the Footsteps of Paul tour

  • 2 weeks: Outreach with local ministries

  • Can be done for College Credit through Vision International University

  • On-field Costs: €2,100 (US$2,460) without credit and €2,300 (US$2,680) for Vision International University credit (two 3-hour credit units)

Important Information

Key Dates

  • Program: October 31 – December 1, 2025 (Full attendance required)

  • Application Deadline: October 1, 2025

  • Deposit of €400: due upon acceptance

  • Full amount due to EME Ministries by October 16, 2025

Participation Requirements

  • Committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ

  • Pastoral and character references

  • Minimum age: 18 years (or accompanied by a participating parent/legal guardian)

  • Valid passport (valid through May 2026)

  • Visa or ETIAS (if required)

  • Travel and medical insurance

  • Full program fee paid before the start date

Program Costs

  • €2,000 / €2,300 (US$2,350 / US$2,680) per person

  • Deposit: €400 (US$450) due upon acceptance

  • Full amount due to EME Ministries by October 16, 2025

Accreditation through Vision International University (VIU)

The Gateway Training Center, as a ministry of EME Ministries (www.emeministries.org), is partnering with Vision International University to offer undergraduate and graduate courses for credit as part some of its programs, including the Fall in Greece (FIG) program. For more information about, and to apply for, Vision International University, please visit www.vision.edu/web/.

Requirements for accreditation:

  • Successful application to the FIG program

  • Successful application for a VIU undergraduate or graduate program (not required for existing VIU students)

  • Application fee of US$50 paid to VIU (not required for existing VIU students)

  • Full payment of €2,100 for the FIG program and €200 for the credit enrolment before the start of the program

  • Full participation in the FIG program on location in Greece

  • Successful completion of all the assessment items within the required timeframe

As part of the FIG program, students can enroll for a Biblical (New Testament) and a Practicum course. The following courses are available for credit:

  • Bl 220 Corinthians

  • Bl 301 Pauline Epistles: Corinthians

  • PC 300 Practicum: Practical Ministry

Graduate courses

  • NT 508 Epistles and Revelation

  • LE 510 Multi-cultural Leadership

  • LE 511 Christian Leadership Practicum
